39TH ANNUAL THREE OUSTANDING YOUNG PERSONS AWARD
Award Recognizes Individuals Whose Efforts Challenge, Motivate and
Inspire Hawaii’s Youth
Aloha!
The Honolulu Filipino Jaycees is proud to present the Three Outstanding Young
Persons (TOYP) Award.
For over 30 years, the Hawaii Jaycees have honored individuals in our
community that have gone to extraordinary means to better themselves and their
community. The award recognizes exceptional achievements or contributions in a
nominee’s chosen field, organizations, community, state, or nation. The Jaycees
are looking for nominees whose outstanding humanitarian efforts exemplify the
line of the Jaycee Creed that states, “Service to humanity is the best work of
life.” Nominees must be between the ages of 18-40 years old and must not have
turned 40 before December 31, 2010. The three individuals who are honored with the
Three Outstanding Young Persons Award are then submitted to the United States
Junior Chamber of Commerce as a possible selection to the Ten Outstanding Young
Americans, TOYA. Some past TOYA honorees have included, John F. Kennedy, Elvis
Presley, Christopher Reeve, Dave Tiberi, Michelle Tafoya and Robin Hartle.
